My Work, My Space, My Joy

My Work, My Space, My Joy

For years I worked hard all day, every day — but it was for other people. People who didn’t always see me, respect me, or value what I brought to the table. The grind was real, but the gratitude was not.

Now? I’m still working all day, every day… only this time it’s for me. And that changes everything.

My Kids Are Doing Their Thing

My babies are grown and chasing their own paths. They don’t need me hovering every second anymore. That space has given me time to put my energy back into something I love -myself & my business.

Community Over Isolation

Most of my friends are small business owners or creatives too. We don’t just hang out; we co-create. We work side by side, sharing a space that’s part social, part studio, part sanctuary. Sometimes we talk about business. Sometimes we don’t talk at all. But we always keep each other going.

Why My Business is My Happy Place

Some folks think work should feel separate from joy — but why? If I love what I do, if I find peace in printing, cutting, designing, packaging, and building, then why should I feel guilty for choosing this space over anything else?

This isn’t obsession. This is ownership. This is fulfillment. This is me creating the life I wanted after giving so much of myself to jobs and people who didn’t care.

So What’s Wrong With That?

Answer is: Nothing!

There’s nothing wrong with pouring love into something that loves you back. Nothing wrong with making your business your happy place. Nothing wrong with choosing to wake up and hustle for yourself instead of grinding for someone else’s dream.

Because this? This is joy. This is healing. This is freedom.

My business isn’t just work. It’s my peace, my pride, my playground. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
